Preziah Pays in Full

Keep going no matter what!

Preziah loves to help people and care for them which is what drew her to the Patient Care Assistant training program at CityLink. She saw the ad for the program on Facebook while she was working at Petsmart. Excited to find out she could get training in the field she was most interested in AND have a job guaranteed through the CityLink and University of Cincinnati partnership, Preziah was all in.

While Preziah was studying and training to become a PCA at CityLink, she learned about ChangingGears and the Vehicle Purchase Program. The car she had been driving was generously given to her by her mom but was going downhill fast and had a laundry list of necessary repairs. She knew she needed a more reliable vehicle to get her to and from training and her new job after that and she was ready to purchase her own car this time.

Having a reliable car gave Preziah the opportunity to look into different areas for a job and has helped her reach her goals. She was ready for a change and started her PCA training with a plan for her future. LPN training was the next step of the plan while working at her new job as a PCA. Once Preziah completes her LPN training, she’ll get an even better job with that degree and begin her RN training.

When you’re feeling discouraged or like that next step in your plan is too hard to take, remember some words of encouragement from Preziah, “Keep moving forward, never give up. Keep going no matter what. You’re allowed to have your moments to break and decompress, but always get back up. Look at the good and stay positive, keep future goals in mind.”

What’s next? Jamaica! Preziah is ready to celebrate her accomplishments with a trip to Jamaica once she completes her RN training and has already started saving for this epic trip! Her vision for her future is exciting and motivating. Preziah made every monthly car payment on time like clockwork and has now paid for her car in full and has her title in hand. Her commitment and dedication to the plan for her future is clear and something we can all learn from.
